TRAFUCO ACQUIRES ALFRED TALKE TRANSPORT SERVICES (ATTS)

Trafuco has taken the first external step in its growth strategy: it has just acquired Alfred Talke Transport Services NV (ATTS) from the major German logistics group Alfred Talke. ATTS is based in Zwijndrecht (Belgium) and has about 36 trailers for liquid bulk transport, mainly in Western Europe.

Trafuco is confirming its clear ambitions for growth both organically and by means of acquisitions. As part of this growth strategy, the company invested in 30 new trailers and 10 stainless-steel tank trailers in 2015. In 2016 and 2017, it will add another 40 trailers and 20 stainless-steel semitrailers. The acquisition of ATTS will boost Trafuco’s turnover to almost 35 million euro, with a fleet of 215 towing vehicles. Its total staff base will increase to 265 employees, all covered by the Belgian social security system.

Trafuco specialises in total solutions, mainly for liquid bulk, but also for packed goods and containers. The company focuses mainly on oil, chemicals, waste and port transport. One of Trafuco’s specialties is the supply of lubricating oil to sea vessels, for which the company has four special inland barges and a dedicated warehouse in addition to its goods vehicle fleet. In 2015, D2E Capital joined the group as a shareholder, further strengthening Trafuco’s growth ambitions.
