TRAFUCO TAKES OVER XPO LOGISTICS’ CONTAINER TRANSPORT ACTIVITIES

As of 12 September, XPO Logistics’ container and tautliner transport activities at the Port of Antwerp will be taken over by Trafuco.

XPO has made the strategic decision to focus on its storage activities and services at the Port of Antwerp, and no longer to invest in its own fleet for port transport. From now on, its container and curtainsider transport activities will be taken over by the Trafuco Group, which consists of several transport companies and has become one of the leading logistics players in Antwerp. The Trafuco Group is 100% Belgian and its turnover for 2016 is estimated at more than 37 million euros, with a staff base of over 300 people.

The activities that the group has just acquired at the Port of Antwerp are perfectly in line with those of NDB Logistics, which forms part of Trafuco and currently transports about 30,000 containers a year.
